Your brain tells your body how to react to certain situations. What you think is shown in your body language. Actors exaggerate their gestures in order to show exactly what they're feeling. The actor's hand is very conscious and constantly moving to show emotion. For example, when the hand gesture is applause, the actor is showing happiness of another's accomplishment by clapping. For example, when the hand gesture is begging, the actor is showing desperation because he or she wants something from someone else.
